It has larger batteries and long runtime. It also has a fan on side vent. The USB port and basic management software are some additional tools which make it handier. APC shipping box is useless for this 50lb unit, APC replacement batteries are too much pricey common replacements. It served me very well, and I highly recommend others buying this unit.

The power in my house isn't very consistent. Whenever it rains, the power blinks. It doesn't shut off, it just blinks. Which is very annoying.
I do a lot of work from home, and I would use a laptop more often if I could because of the battery, but some of the graphic intensive projects I have requires my stronger desktop. When I lose an hour of work because the power decided to blink and reboot all my equipment, my frustration is just beyond comparison.
This little gadget saved my sanity. It doesn't seem to be able to charge for long. It charges pretty quick, but with my equipment, it would last only 15 minutes or so. Which isn't bad, since it helps me avoid and faulty resets and gives me time to save my work. I would take this everywhere I go, but it's extremely heavy.

This UPS(power supply) isn't what I expected, however, it is still good to use. I think it is a little expensive, but then again, any electronic is. It's your average UPS.
