No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Save yourself headaches and bypass this scanner. We have had to spend over $250 in shipping to send it back to Kodak 3 times in the first year. If it breaks again after the warranty runs out it will end up in the dumpster.

A rather strange looking machine one might think at first glance but wow can this thing hold its own! I had not expected the machine to work this great but should have known that anything coming out of Kodak had to be good. I am very impressed how it can compete with any other machine out there. The quality is perfect, and it’s a very fast machine.
