I've had it for several months and still learning! Some of the bundle just throws me for a loop. I'm not necessarily a computer dummy, but some of the programs do more than I really need, or go above my grasp. I guess I will get all figured out soon enough. So far, it all seems to work well, just not sure if more than I really have use in. Oh well, it serves it's purpose.

Has to rate as one of the best products (computer related) that I have ever purchased. I have scanned hundreds of old photos and documents and the scanner worked flawlessly.
This product is easy to use.

We are a very busy "small business" with limited electronic knowhow. We purchased this scanner and immediately (that day) began electronically saving our accounting records. It is easy to install, easy to use, quick, compact and reliable. We are now purchasing a second one for the electronic storage of our production paperwork. We love this scanner. I do wish it would allow us to lock specific file cabinets. We only use the scanner for very basic file storage purposes. We aren't yet familiar with the enhanced features. I would highly recommend this scanner. I am also considering this product for my home, as I have a few rental properties, recipes, etc.
Very smart, user friendly, very productive invention

With software bundles, S1500 exceeds our expectation to complete historical data archiving project. Great, I would recommend anyone to scan and store, origanize the data. It worths investment.
Well built, reliable scanner but could use software upgrade and improved handling of small items

I've used the ScanSnap1500 with included Rack-2 Filer for about 10 months. The scan quality is excellent. Sometimes paper jams but not frequently (3-4 times since I've had it and I believe most of these were when trying to scan small flimsy material such as a receipt from a gas pump). More often, when using the stack scanning mode, it has grabbed more than one page so I usually scan one page at a time - I'm not using it for high volume, though. Although a carrier is supplied for scanning the small items, it is a bit cumbersome to use, so I wind up not scanning these at all. Other than a better system for scanning the small items, I think the most helpful addition would be OCR recognition software that might make filing easier, especially if it would pick up company names and dates. Overall, I am satisfied, though, and recommend the ScanSnap 1500 for the average home user. I think it would probably work well for the higher volume business user - perhaps even better than for the low volume user, since the business user might have many pages that go to the same folder and so would not have to redirect each page to a different folder.
