Till five years ago I thought a multimedia receiver for home network, with all-filetype compatibility and impeccable precision would be next to impossible. With this Screenplay TV link director from Iomega, it has become a reality. I have a classic collection of eastern and western classics, rock, rap and am a great fan of Beatles!!My main means of entertainment has always been music and movies. Since my collection kept expanding I keep buying more hard drives. I also recently bought a 1 TB version of Iomega HD to double up my multimedia. I wanted a TV-media link which will give me the same effect of watching and experiencing wholesome music with fabulous advanced digital video. I know that DivX is rare to find but this Iomega Director is truly special for a movie theater experience.I have a Samsung HDTV at home, all I needed was just to connect it to the link and it flowed well. My movies and studio collections instantly appeared with the most sophisticated precision I was looking for. WMV, VOB, FLV, H.264 and AC3 formats were excellent on the screen. Earlier experience required that these formats conversion needed a video converter. Am saved of reaching out for a video formatter every time I wanted to have the latest formats on my Hdtv.I took this to my studio and for outings, could do this because it is compact and fairly light. Instant and easy access to Flicker and RSS feeds keeps me connected to my work sites and for instant browsing. The video playback quality is commendable and I must admit that finally there is a media player which performs quite well and is in sync with its claims.
