I am new at this. But so far, I can see with a continuing use of Scan Snap, it can significantly improve the information organization and saving on printing and filing time and costs.

I bought the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 in January 2012. According to the sheet counter, I have scanned about 9000 pages since then. I have not purchased any other scanner previously, but I am basically happy with this one. Likes: Compact, easy to use Easy to scan to PDF files or image files. (other options are available but I don't use them) Can choose image quality, one or two-sided scanning, and color mode. I am happy with the scanned image quality. Dislikes: Edited to add: I had to read a bunch of reviews to figure out to use the 'continue scanning after last page' button. Initially I wrote: "I wish there was a pause button. Currently I have to open the lid to pause. I also wish that when I was done scanning it would ask me if I wanted to add any more pages to the file, before continuing. I scan documents with more than 10 pages, so I must keep feeding the scanner and make sure I don't let it finish scanning pages, or else pause it by opening the lid. (Because I don't own a commercial version of Adobe PDF viewer, like Adobe Acrobat, I cannot combine or edit PDF files after scanning them)." I tend to have to keep an eye on the scanner to make sure it doesn't scan two pages at once, which can happen every so often. If the pages are regular and not bent, this will happen less often. minor- Although the scanner comes with software to recognize letters and convert the scanned document to a Word file, this has not worked well enough for me to use it for my purposes. However when I test scanned a very simple typed document without any symbols other than letters or numbers, the resulting Word document was mostly correct, so it may be useful for others.

I have been using this scanner daily, approximately 30-50 scans per day, and I have had no problems. I would recommend this product.

It’s simply a exceptional product. The accessibility of key documents and files at one's fingertips is magnificent. My files have been transformed from chaos to order.

The ScanSnap 1300 is a great little scanner. It is small enough to be a part of a traveling office and it functions well as a desktop scanner. I am very please with the purchase. The speed is amazing and the double-sided feature only adds to the speed. I would recommend this scanner for any project no larger that legal sized paper. The software is also great. The software alone was enough to get me to buy this scanner. If you need a high quality scanner for documents and small cards this is the one.
