Got it as a gift for a movie-lover but ended up getting two (one for ourselves, as well). The control is user-friendly and intuitive; the visual is crisp and life-like; audio is powerful and fills even the entire living room. Well-made and pleases even this Picky Fuss buyer! :-)

This item was purchased Nov 2010 as a travel accessory for my 2 year old. Since there weren't many features / technical options it was very easy for her to use and manipulate on her own. Unfortunately about 2 months ago (7 months after purchase) the item no longer charges. It works only when connected to a power source making it completely useless for its intended purpose. Aside from that, the player loads very slowly and is relatively loud when loading. Occasionally the screen goes black and the player must be turned off and then on. This is a slight inconvenience but as I've already mentioned the slow loading and the intended purpose of this purchase it is not ideal. My last portable DVD player was a JVC and it lasted 10 years. I only needed this one because the other one didn't play the latest movies formats.

I purchased this for my granddaughter for us to take a 5 hour driving trip. She is only 3 but it was very easy for her to use herself to see her movies on the trip. Easier than a previous model
