Great Product with a few slight problems

I think this is such an excellent product that I now have two of them; the radio is excellent (in sense of ability to draw in weak stations), the chassis is (with one exception) well designed, sleek, and well made. The sound is very good (much better than a Phillips one, but not as good as Bose,in my opinion). One minor problem with the unit is carrying it; there very little to hang on to when toting it around, but in the back there is a small place to put your hand to hold it while you move it. You still have to be extra careful or you may drop it (and no, it isn't shatterproof in my estimation, nor would I want to test the unit's ability to withstand a big shock); my first unit broke down in less than 6 months; it apparently was a pin breaking on the unit that connects to the ipod. If you have problems like this, they (Sony) usually sends you a refurbished unit , good for the remainder of the warranty (it's a year total).

Pros:
Professional look, Quick Responsive Button Functions, Strong Sound!
Cons:
and fold out dock is a flimsy, iPod/iPhone Inserts are hard to switch
I was looking at a logitech product but the reviews suggested this product for a little more is a higher performing product and they weren't wrong.

Pros:
Sleek design, solid bass response, Superb Value
I recently purchased a 5th gen iPod nano and wanted a way to play it in my office at work. After reading a variety of online reviews, I chose this product over the BOSE SoundDock Series II and the iKick 501. Although I was told that the iKick has great bass, it simply doesn't look suitably professional for my office. The BOSE possesses the requisite professional appearance, but is pricey and has a reputation for iffy bass response. (Note: I did not personally listen to any of these products prior to my purchase.)
Wonderful piece of equipment

I really wanted to quality sound dock for my iPod. I did my research, and was positive I wasn't going to buy anything less than $150 because I knew that in audio equipment you get what you pay for. Once I went from store to store with my own iPod testing out the different options, I fell in love with this product. I love how the design is similar to the Bose options, and the sound quality is tremendous. The use of the buttons is extremely easy, and it is great for getting around the iPod menu system. The only thing that I wish it had was a place to store the remote. There is a little handle in the back for carrying, and Sony could have made it a little wider so that the remote could fit into that handle for when it isn't being used. I'm too afraid that I'll lose my remote. But all in all, I love this system. It was a great purchase for a reasonable price.
