This is listed as a work group printer but my wife, a professor of graduate studys, is constantly printing theses, papers etc. to read and correct/grade. The duplexing function saves us a ton of paper. I had bought it as a spare should my "old faithful" HP2420dn die because the price was great [...] but my wife grabbed it and loves it. Should have bought 2.

Our office has 3 of these and are planning to get two more in January. It’s easy to operate and set up. We have printed everything from newsletters to books and have been very impressed with the end results. It’s an amazingly quiet printer that has a nice compact design. We recommend it to anyone!

I really needed something that could print the transparencies professionally, while doing all the rest of the things I need my printer to do. I found it with this model. The HPs are noisy, but it is ok by me because I am finally getting decent transparencies.

This is very quiet printer and the first page prints very fast. Its exclusive space-savvy style looks attractive. It has set of connections and USB 2.0 compatibility. Cartridge also gives up good number of pages in comparison to other brands. In general, I recommend this product for anybody who is seeking a nice laser printer.

I particularly like the sheet input tray under the unit, not stuck out front, reminds me of the old LaserJet II and III workhorses that are still in use by some. The features are great: fast start up ,fast print, even duplex , lots of paper choices, including recycled which I usually use. This printer was designed for workgroups, though it will serve me well as my primary printer at home. A replacement 3000 page toner cartridge costs about $80. Although duplex is "automatic", one has to tell it to print duplex. It resets to one-sided at the end of the job. If you want the detailed specs, there is a 4-page document at the HP site that covers all 4 printers. I don't really need color for most of my printing, and am pleased with this choice.
