So I came into the laptop buying scene again after a long time, so it took me awhile to figure out what I was looking for in a laptop as well as what kind of specs would meet those needs. Essentially I just graduated college and have moved to another country for a job. Therefore, I needed a pc that had a good amount of storage while being lightweight so that I could travel with it. I am however also an avid gamer (not too hardcore - SC2 and LoL mainly), so I needed some specs in that area. Essentially what the i5 does for your is give you the balance for this (i3 generally not powerful enough and i7 sucks up too much battery). I run most games on medium-high depending on what kind of pvp I'm doing. The keyboard is also the best I've ever had to use, it's the island (or chiclet) layout where there is spacing amongst all keys. Very easy to use. The only two problems (and I hesitate to call them problems) I have with the q430 is that it has RELATIVELY low speaker quality, in terms of volume, and the battery life isn't ideal. However, with both of these, I never find myself straining to hear sound, I just like to know the fact that I can go higher (I generally have the volume maxed on this pc). As for the battery life, ask yourself honestly, how often, and for how long are you really away from a power source that you need more than 2-3 hours of battery life? For me at least, it was a relatively little, so it all works out. Enjoy! Loved every minute of this computer.
