Faulty Battery Connection

I bought my Satellite A75-S206 laptop (Part No. PSA70U-003002, Serial No. 64398721K) about 4 to 5 years ago. In less than one year after purchase the Li-Ion battery pack (PA3383U-1BRS) could not power the computer. I've since run it only on direct power. It's believe that the component that picks power to/from the battery is faulty. The battery cannot also charge. Where in St Roberts, MO, can I get my laptop checked? What is your opinion about the problem?
