I read a lot of reviews and watched a number of You Tube BofA on the set prior to purchasing and I have to say aside from, the somewhat difficult set up, I love this TV. Pictures is flawless in my amateur opinion and the features are cool too. A great value in my opinion.

Sony's announcement of 2012 models doesn't mention a 40" 3D set. If that is the case, this is the one to buy at model closeouts before it's gone. The only adjustment I needed to make is the black levels were set too dark but otherwise the picture is awesome out of the box. The remote is easy to use and I like the friendly and informative on-screen help system.

I bought it on April 2011, I was getting error - continuously - "Content Error", I worked with Comcast - Internet service provider based on Sony Customer care advise, no issues from Comcast, I raised my voice around 5-6 times to Customer care, so they replaced my TV with refurbished one - given 1 yr more warranty , this TV is not giving any errors like that, every thing is good and working fine now, I compared other new TV's the Apps Sony providing is easy to access, with no time we can just enter in to any App, Youtube search, Netflix search, HULU all are very fine, when I compared to other brand - I felt the sound should be improved a bit, Picture quality is computable, Outlook of the TV is not matching with the performance - compare competitor , should mix with other colors in the outlook like steal or Gold or metal , I am happy after exchange with no extra cost and extra warranty. given a chance I want to change the just frame or some thing so it looks good even when you switch off the TV.
