Have been enjoying this TV for a few days and really like it. It is probably the best 55 LCD out there. Personally I do not like the LED because I think they are too bright. This one is perfect, big screen and great picture. Although you gotta have a nice sound equipment to plug it in, because the sound out of the TV does not make justice to how good the TV really is.

The good:The tv is big and impressive and has tons of inputs.Gaming is great on this TV, looks great, works great with the PS3The bad:Motionflow makes all your movies and tv look like a soap opera, turn it off first thing. After a while of watching movies my roommate asked me "Whats wrong with the picture, why does it look like a soap opera?" We discovered that it is Motionflow. Even on the low setting it has this weird effect. I use it for gaming only but I generally just leave it off all the time.The different 'scenes' like movies, gaming, sport... are all horrible and don't seem to be optimized for anything. The movie setting makes everything look dull, gives everything a green & brown tent, seems to have less contrast too.The picture on the tv does not appear as sharp to me as my old Samsung, to be fare the Samsung was smaller. I used to get comments about the picture quality on my Samsung, no one has commented about the picture quality on this TV.The speakers are very horrible, if there is any bass the TV will actually 'rattle' and 'clip' the audio. There is no audio normalizing so when watching a movie you have to constantly adjust the volume.The ambient light adjusting feature sounds cool but in my experience it always makes the picture a little too dark, even with the brightness turned all the way up.Overall the tv is alright but I wish I had bought a slightly smaller and cheaper Samsung.

Picture is awesome but sound is terrible hear popping noises in audio only in dolby audio. Everybody doesn't listen to their tv through A surround sound system like late at night when everybody else is sleeping.This tv replaced my KDF E50A10 WEGA if it was 1080P it's the perfect tv.Please sony put good speakers back in your tv's for us late night tv watchers .

I did my homework on TV's. I decided on the 40" sony. I love it! The picture is crystal clear. I also got a sony blu ray player and now Im ready to buy a 55" for my living room. Motionflow is good when you watch an action movie but does take some getting used to.
