Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The biggest drawback to this monitor is the resolution. It is too high. A 17 monitor works best for us running at 1024x768. Of course you can set your PC to this, but you get a fuzzy screen. Yes, you can change your settings for DPI and such, but that is not a fix all. When running at native resolution, image is great. Other than that, light weight and little adjustment lead to the 3 star rating.
