Slick keys and no lights

Found this Toshiba keyboard and mouse fine to use. My complaint is that I have a habit of hitting the CAPS LOCK and I can't tell easily with a light on, it is on. Can't find the directions for this keyboard so started looking online so here I am. Like ability to lower sound on keyboard. Mouse works fine. Installer said to save battery turn keyboard and mouse after use.
