Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I own and use a number of switches, including another brand's 4-port VGA switch. All have issues with occasional lockups/no response when switching, especially when powering on PC's which don't have the active focus. Not so with this unit. It has worked perfectly, 100% of the time. It remembers the resolution of each display, and does everything it promised. Reassigning the hot keys was very useful to me.
