The set up was quick...I love this printer. The Gloss Optimizer adds a great deal to the print quality when going for lustrous prints. The colors are very vibrant. Epson fine art papers also print beautifully and hold the deep rich blacks well...Once you get the knack of loading these papers, the results are very pleasing.

This is my second Epson printer. It prints photos excellent. Although I have not been using is long enough to find out if the photos don't fade in over 100 years. I will let you know later. I have found out it uses less ink then my 1800. Which I was very happy with. In conclusion, I would recomend this printer and probably any Epson product to be purchased. Thank you for your time.

I like how crisp and clear all my pictures have been. My other printer made them look clear but there was always a foggy look to them. The only thought I have is how expensive the cartridges are and how often I will have to replace them. I am still using the cartridges that came with the printer. I ordered new ones and have them ready to install when needed. I know some of you are probably answering "well, it all depends how many pictures you print". This is true, I print a lot of pictures and of course, the thought enters my mind, I wonder how expensive it will be to use my new printer in light of how often I print a new bird or butterfly picture. So far, I love it!

I have had numerous Epson photo printers. All of them have been good, but they have gotten much better with the newest ones. I had a 2200, R1800, and now this R2000. I had the R1800 for almost 10 years , including 2 years it sat unused during a divorce. I mention this because it worked well inspite of that, and now just started to show clogged print heads. I have not had the R2000 very long. The prints look great. They are instantly dry enough to handle. The software inter-phase is acceptable. It takes some learning.

I had Stylus Photo RX700 for over 8 years and loved everything about it. I had to replace a ink cartridge and after it charged it stated parts have expired to see dealer. I was heart broken. I have always wanted a printer that would print 12X12 so I went searching. Thank you all out there that took the time to make a comment good or bad about the printers. It helped me pick the printer for me. I do scrapbooking and need the 12x12. I have only had the R2000 for a short time but I must say So far So So good. Love even the look of the test page..LOL. Thanks again to all out there and Espon for making a great printer.
