Purchased this printer to replace my R1900, which had a disappointingly short lifespan! THAT is another story--the only Epson product that ever proved to be a bad experience (I have had several GOOD experiences over the years). The R3000, so far, is a JOY, especially with the $200 rebate. Its performance has been stellar so far. The only complaint I have (not trivial) is that when switching from Photo Black to Matte Black (or vice-versa) too much ink is used up. It may be exaggerated because I'm still using the start-up ink cartridges (which are also a disappointment in that they have very little ink). But the prints are beautiful and flawless. So I'm truly happy on that point.
worked right out of the box

WOW! I had to buy a new Epson as I stupidly killed mine. Anyway my old one was beyond perfect and after 5 years with the old one printing so perfectly every time I thought oh no a new one is never going to do as great. Well I was wrong. My new Stylus R3000 is perfect. I would say the detail when I enlarge an image is not quite as perfect as the first one but still good. Most small images don't enlarge well no matter what printer you use. I sell items that have to have images that are perfect and mine continue to be. THANK YOU EPSON for continuing to provide quality printers.

I run a small photography business (mostly a hobby that pays for itself!) out of my home. I offer a few prints to my clients with their photo packages, and I am always proud to deliver them. The color is vivid and spot on when compared to what I hoped would print, and sometimes it's better! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to print their photos in house and avoid the uncertainty of color you get from the local pharmacy.

very good printer for printing artist cards on fine art paper. much better than the 3800 it replaced. for most of my printing i use a 9900.The artist cards are to small for the 9900.
