Easy set-up and great sound which is the purpose of this system, all the available web applications and the option to install s-air speakers is a definite plus to rid the wires. A great buy for anyone thinking about taking their home entertainment experience to a whole new level.
Good home theater for the price paid.

Pros:
Easy to set up home theater and network; Great picture quality and sound
Cons:
DLNA needs to be refined; Netlfix and Youtube need refinement; Text input method is horrible
I got this home theater from a rewards program. Selected it because it had the latest blu-ray capabilities and it could play all sorts of media files from DLNA capable devices. I've tried the blu-ray player and using it to watch TV shows broadcast with 5.1 sound and that works great, absolutely no problems there. My first gripe is the DLNA capabilities. If you're using Windows to share your media, great for you, you're all set, but you try using anything else and you start hitting problems. If you have a NAS running DLNA, .jpg files are read perfectly, .mp3 file playback depends on the DLNA server used, and playing back .mkv and .mpg files takes all sorts of workarounds. I used the built in DLNA capabilities of my DNS-323 and I had to try to play .mp3 files multiple times before it didn't complain of file errors, although it would play .mpeg files. I tried mediatomb and that was even worse, nothing worked. I then switched to miniDLNA and it plays .jpg and .mp3 files to perfection. I can only play .mkv files using a USB stick since miniDLNA needs a patch to deal with Sony media players and video files. My second gripe is the text input method. You should have allowed keyboard input optional using the USB port because using the remote takes forever. You can't watch anything on Netflix unless it's in your queue which is kind of annoying. I'd like to be able to browse videos by categories like on the PS3. The Sony Music video service (I forget the actual name) lists a bunch of videos that you can't play. For those complaining about the update process, ALWAYS use the CD method since it's the safest and takes the least time. Anyway, I left a decent rating just because the main function of this home theater is as a disc movie player and it does that well. I just wish Sony could put a bit more thought into the extra features they add on.
