Nice if you don't need high resolution

This is a nice scanner with a nice price-point. The only problem is that for scanning B&W work destined for press, it's basically junk. It can only scan at 300 dpi which is just not good enough. 600 dpi is the lowest you can go for B&W line work if you don't want to be counting dots with the naked eye, and this scanner just doesn't measure up.
If you are doing color work, however, this is a fine little machine. Good, fast scans, nice color. A good buy. USB a plus. But if you need to do print-ready B&W, get something else.
