First look shows great user interface

I have had multiple scanners over the years and decided I should try this model based on a review in MacWorld. The review said it had the best color and was a bit slower than the others....but the price is ridiculously low for the super interface and resolution provided. Strange as it sounds you just load the material, close the lid, then press a button on the lid for the type of scan you want. It is lightweight but gives great black and white scans...have not run color yet but based on the Macworld review I expect good color match and saturation. Wish I had purchased it sooner as it saves a lot of time in the setup and scan process.

I use this scanner for papers that are not available on soft copy.

Had to download the drivers and scanning software with compatibility for Windows 7 64 Bit from HP, but once that was done, and the software installed, everything worked perfectly.The best thing I like is te HP scanning software, which allows me to adjust, crop, and size all my items, before starting the scan. The Cannon scanner I had before, had terrible color resolution, no control over sizing, and I had to use external software to crop the huge images, before I could use the scanned items for my work.

I purchased it to digitize slides which it does well. The OCR also is very accurate and works well.

I LOVE THIS SCANNER SO MUCH I BOUGHT A SECOND ONE FOR MY OFFICE! EASY SETUP / GREAT SOFTWARE. THIS ONE IS KEEPER!!
