A Good Value Priced Frame

Sony offers up a very nice Photo Viewer with the DPF-D810. With the 800x400 screen resolution images appear crisp and colors are correctly represented. The power on/off feature is excellent and allows for fine tuning by individual days and hours. More nice features include the ability to turn off the Sony logo if desired (I kind of like it on though) and images will auto-rotate if you change the screen orientation. Works with OSX and Windows equally well. It's one of the few devices that actually worked with my computers 'out of the box'. The construction feels solid and it looks great. And the remote is a very nice touch. At this price I can understand the absence of WiFi or Blue Tooth, but I would have liked to see a few more file options for viewing. The user memory they report is a little shady to me and it really should say that on the box. Advertising 128Mb and giving you just half of that doesn't really sit well with me. But with all the memory card slots, I suppose it really doesn't matter all that much. Bottom line: If you want a 'better than nice' picture viewer with some nicely thought out features, then have a look at one of these. You won't be disappointed. BcB
