Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is the fourth Canon digital point & shoot camera I have owned and it takes great photos. Canon continues to improve their software to make taking great snapshots easier. Colors are great, and focus tracking works well. 10 Megapixel resolution is great for cropping photos. I would recommend this digital camera to anyone looking for a compact digital camera that delivers SLR quality photos. The only downside to this camera is that it doesn't support RAW image files.
