Product Reviews for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX5 10.2 Megapixel Compact Camera - 4.43 mm-17.70 mm - Silver

I've had my Cybershot for about four months now (purchased from camerakings.com and they include free tripod and cleaning kit!) and I am in love. But I can't say that I'm not a little disappointed in the performance. So first we'll start with the perks: I love love love looooooooove the ten pictures per second setting, utterly ahhmazing. My sister and I use the medium speed setting (also able to set it to high speed as well as low) And take multiple pictures on the trampoline to ensure we got "the perfect shot". It's also SUPER useful when taking pictures of my baby sister because she's always moving and not one to 'sit down and say cheese'. I love that it goes underwater but I really havent had the opportunity to try it out too much. Now for some cons, not sure if this would be considered a pro or a con, but some pictures have such extreme clarity that you can literally see every blemish on someone's face, not attractive :/ but if you're taking pictures of flowers, or scenary then it's amazing. Also, sometimes it is just so hard to find the right setting that by the time you get it to take a picture in the lighting you want, that picture moment is already gone. Also, I tend to get a lot of pictures where for example, my dog is all happy and clear but the tail is blurred because it was moving. And the 'high speed shutter' (sports) setting is TERRIBLE, the pictures come out VERY dark. It's ridiculous, and needs to be worked on. However I think the pros far outweighs the cons. Then again I paid $333 with tripod and camera cleaner and insurance, I wouldn't've have paid any higher than $350 and I suggest you don't either. Feel free to email me for any questions concerning this camera or additional sample photos. ---email@example.com, no emails NOT concerning the sony cybershot DSC TX5. I was only able to [ost two pics so I decided to post the two really good ones just so you can see the camera at its greatest, but keep in mind i isnt always so reliable.

I have not owned a camera since 88 when I lost the new one I had at Disney. Have been relying on others and my ok camera phone. Started shopping for the perfect camera for my activities of fly fishing and horses. This one fit the bill but was not to be release for months out. I was patient but anxious for it to be released before a family reunion in Alabama. I was NOT disappointed! Everyone amazed at the wonderful pics I was taking of groups/scenerry/events. Many have said they are going to purchase one. It is so small you can put in little purse, pocket or bag. I bought the green one---very subtle....looks almost silver. Wish I went with the red one. This camera makes my life more fun because I can capture people and things that are important to me---I have even found an artistic photographer in me!!! :)

Ok well Im not one of those people who is concerned about the ISO and whatever else, I am 20 years old and have been wanting a digital camera for awhile but waited seriously years for the right one. When I looked for "waterproof" cameras a year or so back they were big bulky and not what I wanted, or in the case for Sony, they had water proof housing for your product. So when I saw this i was immediately sold, very sleek looks normal but its waterproof. When i got it i was shocked, I immediately ran it under water, dropped it, froze it, and stuck it in the bag less vacuum bucket, and of course it worked! :) All my friends and family all freaked out when I said look how easy it is to clean it and dropped it in water! Anyways, it takes phenomenal pictures in low light conditions, even better and more crisp pictures in the day time. this camera is highly recommended. Terrific in the pool with movies and sound, the touch screen is like the touch screens on modern cell phones. Its hard plastic i guess not the soft screen Sony used to ship about a year ago that when u touched it it pixelated where you touched. The pictures shown are just of a cat up close and underwater at a pool, just little examples. Highly recommended guaranteed not a disappointed unless your like a professional photographer then you'd probably complain about it, but for us normal people who like to have fun with pictures and can pretty much use it anywhere, then this is it!
