I've got this camera from my mom for Christmas gift last december 2010. The picture quality, video, panorama pics are great. I submerge it into the sea to test if the camera is water proof, and it works. Last april, I was on the vacation with my friends in the Philippines, then I submerge it into the fresh water. After 30mins the cover lens was peeled (a little bit)( it was located in the corner of the cover lens) and I was so disappointed after I saw it. But anyways, the camera was functioning well and I love it especially the isweep & Hand-held TW.

Needed to update one of the earliest Cyber-Shot models. Don't regret it a bit! Without using the flash being able to film every single move above and under water. The resolution is great - 1090x1028. After downloading the file to the computer hard drive it's easy to open it in Photoshop and chose the frame you want. Also easy to import it to any of the video editing soft and make a little "home made" movie. I just love the size and the quality this product has to offer.

I love this camera. it takes amazing pictures, the colors of the camera are styilish, and the design is cool. when i wanted a new camera, i looked at sony. this camera caught my eye. when i looked at the reveiws, i wasnt sure, but i knew this camera was right for me. when i bought it, it was $350. i paid for it all (im 13 years old) it was totally worth it! the picture attached is the best picture i have ever taken underwater. this thing is practically every thing proof, good if your clumsy.....like me. sometimes i dont like to bring it around becuase it is a bit delicate, but its shock proof so..... overall this camera is GREAT! I reccomend this camera to everyone. AH - MAZINGGGGG ! :D

purchased this camera, dropped it once and then the touch screen goes hay-wire. whatever I touch on the screen, it selects something else. I ship it under warranty to the ONLY listing provided with Sony; mind you this is after being on the phone with Sony for about an hour and a half trying to trouble shoot the camera. I don't get my camera back for 2 months! When it was returned, picture quality didn't seem to be as great as before. Has red tint background on a lot of the flash pics. Oh well, better than waiting another 2 months for them to mess something else on the camera up. I would recommend it, but totally be careful with it.
Great camera but front slide peels off

It was time for a new camera. We wanted a waterproof camera and we liked our previous cybershot that we have had for 6 years. So this was an easy sell. By tme we bought an extended warrenty it cost was about $500. We babied this camera for several months and there was not a scratch on it, and then the varnish started bubbling up and peeling off. We had so many people look at our camera because it is an awesome looking little waterproof camera, but it is not a good sell for Sony when the front of it looks bad from the peeling. Called sony to see about repairing it. They had me send it to precision camera repair. 15 days and multiple emails and calls with precision later, they tell me it was by 10-15 days. Grrr. Good camera, bad warrenty repair. Hopefully it is covered after this, sony told me it was but now I am having serious doubts.
