Bought this to use as a media center in my Den. Replaces another HP I have had for 3 years. Great small, fast and cheap computer.
Does everything I bought it for!

Best Uses:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I have it hooked up to my 37 Samsung LCD through a HDMI cable. I had to fiddle with it a little bit to set up the resolution correctly, and to get sound to come through the HDMI cable.
It was pretty easy to set up, however, it should have come with a wireless keyboard and mouse if it's set up to use as a Home Theater PC. I bought a wireless keyboard with a trackball to use so I can control it further away.
There is a LOT of HP applications that are cumbersome and annoying, so I uninstalled almost all of them.
I primarily will be using this computer as a replacement for cable TV. Right now, I'm streaming shows from websites, and will be hooking up an antenna for local over the air HDTV. I have moved my music library to this computer as well to be used as a music server.
While we watch a Blu-Ray movie, the CPU lights are flashing quickly on the front, and in a dark room, they can be slightly distracting from the movie. No big deal to give it the ol black tape remedy to shield the lights a little better. Sometimes you can hear the fan buzzing, but it has not bothered me enough to do anything about it. I imagine if you had it in a cabinet, these problems would disappear.
Overall, this is a very fast computer that works well for what I'm using it for. For most people, just starting up a computer to watch a show is a time consuming ordeal, but this can wake up, start the browser and be watching a show in less than a 30 seconds... easy!
