These little speakers are outstanding in performance when used with my iPod or Walkman in the bedroom, bathroom, or by my computer. For under $20 of passive design (no battery or electric needed) these speakers fill the bill. They are very portable and quality Sony design is evident. Some other reviews of the SRS-P7 give it not so good ratings and I believe they are looking for miracles for what little money they spent. My eperience with the SRS-P7 is very good and I stand by my 5 Star Rating for how I use them. Here's a little tip: place the speakers on a shelf just a few inches from the wall; you'll be surprised how much this improves the sound from any speaker. : )

I love these speakers, I bought them shortly after I bought my mp3 player because I wanted to be able to play my music at the office and we aren't allowed to put any programs or download anything on our work computers. The low volume doesn't bother me because I can't turn the volume up in the office anyway. The sound is controled completely by the mp3 players volume and equalizer. The speakers run off of power from the mp3 player so if you have a short battery life it may not be the thing for you. I have never had a problem with these speakers. I will probably buy another set because I have had mine a while and they're really beat up from being carried back and forth in my work bag. They attach together at the bottom for carrying and can be spread apart for a stereo feel. I love them.

i bought them from the store just because i have wanted to buy some speakers for a while but never got around to it then saw these for ten dollars and said "cool only ten bucks they look kinda cool why not get them." oh what a bad idea that was i got home plugged them in and first they were quieter than the speakers built in to my mp3 player and then i heard the music stop then thought the plug might have came out but looked down it was fine so moved it around for a second then it worked again but quickly stopped playing. so all in all their bad don't buy.

These are quieter than my laptop speakers, but ifyour speakers are blow and you need a cheap solution, it would work
