I have two of these, two of the 50's and a 30 that came with the camcorder. The 30 lasts about 30 minutes so it was useless for us. I bought two of the 50's first and they would barely make it through a day of moderate use. This battery takes a little getting use to, but with a few strap adjustments you get use to it pretty quickly. The best thing is on one good charge it will take you through a full day of moderate heavy shooting. I don't like having to stop go back to my room to charge batteries so I bought two of these as well and with a full weekend there is no down time, well like a day filming on a tour. So over all I love these batteries, you know how much energy you have left and with one of these and maybe a 50 as an emergency back up you can go all day and most of the night. I've never had a problem with any of these batteries either so I would recommend them to anyone.

this battery is BIG. its heavy and after a period of time it will only take a quarter charge. I think the so called Li-ion is a glorified name for a battery. If it is not to loose the memory then why will it not charge up????
