Pros:
Ease of Use, Features, Quality, Size
Cons:
wish it had a remote control
I fell in love with this camera from the moment I started it up. After charging the batter which took about 1.5 hrs. I was ready to go. Of course you have to buy a DVD disk or a Memory Stick first. It has lots of features to choose from. One thing you must do (while waiting for the batter to charge) is read, read and read again the manual. If you try to use it without reading the manual it could turn into a nightmare. It is a bit difficult using some of the features but in a short time you'll be an old pro. Not for a shoot and go person. If you are, then there are lots of cheaper brand and models for you. But if you want a Good camera with great quality and an affortable price. Then the DCH-DVD650 is for you. I've compaired 20 to 30 different models and brands before I purchase this gem.

Pros:
It has night vision + touch technology and a high quality lens.
Cons:
It doesn't have a memory card slot on my version (dcr-dvd105).
I've just purchased this camera for a trip to Alaska I am taking in July 09'. So far I like it very much. One problem is that the disk may not be compatable with older DVD players. You must finialize the disk ALWAYS before you play it in a laptop or desktop computer. I am hoping to download all movies and photos to an external hard drive in my hotel room, then reformate the media to use again the next day. I like the idea of two media in the camera in case you run out of room on the disk, you can switch to the memory stick. Have to get the higher power battery to have longer usability. Messing around with disks while out may be an issue as well. In all, I think I will like this camera.
