I have owned the same Philips CD Recorder for over 10 years and I love it dearly. However, it seems to be sensitive to what brand of blank Music CD's I use with it. I have tried probably every manufacturer of blank music CD's. These Sony 80 minute CD's are the only ones that are consistently recordable on my old machine. When I use Memorex or other brands, some of the CD's inevitably will not record - they read as "Disc Error." These Sonys always work. I like the way they look, too - simple silver disc with mimimal printing - allows me to maximize space for writing with Sharpies. I have ordered a couple hundred of these and will order more in the future without a doubt.
