Great Optical Drive, but Price is Ridiculous

Pros:
Good performance, Metal Finish is BEAUTIFUL
Cons:
A little noisy, not as portable as I'd like, pretty bulky AC cord, Price (found the plastic version for about 70 bucks)
I am satisfied with getting this because it gets the job done for the x series I just bought, but I wish I had seen the plastic one on Newegg before I went and spent $140 bucks on this one. Is the metal finish REALLY worth $70 more dollars? come on.

DRX-S70UW is a high performance DVD writer. But it has a separate power supply for 5VDC. USB cable is for data only. f you use a standard USB cable with power, it does not work with it. Thus you are obliged to use a separate power adaptor. If you are on the way with no access to mains you cannot use this DVD writer. I am disappointed !
Requires AC Connection - not a portable DVD Drive!

If you are looking for a portable DVD drive for your X-Series Notebook (like I was) then this is not it! I paid $90 after the $30 offer with my purchase, so the cost for this drive is pretty low for the very good performance, excellent Nero software and solid build.
