I love my GPS! I just put in where I want to go, and it has never failed to get me there. If I take an exit to get gas, etc, it recalculates and puts me right back on my route. It is right on the money with my time of arrival at my destination! The bluetooth is excellent and allows me hands-free driving. I find it very helpful when I have to take small county roads that look like spider webs everywhere. If you are looking for a very good reliable GPS, look no further! I love it!!!
Wont leave home without it

I use this GPS all the time. The C550 has logical menu, easy to use. The alert tone stands out; you don’t have to listen to all the talking unless you want to. But you have to learn how to use a GPS - it will get you lost! First, pay attention to the distance to turn - must be less than .1 mile, like 400 to 200 ft. Easy to turn in the wrong place or miss it. The C550 provides cross checks - the voice, the map, the distance in feet to the turn. Then you have to approve the route it takes - it is not all that smart - I very often override the route. The worst thing about it is the dated maps. So many errors.... I could make a full time job of documenting the errors. If you need gas late at night, it will guide you to a station but it could be out of business! Same with restaurants. And I pass gas stations not listed as I am guided to one the Garmin knows about. Another tip - forget the bells and whistles. The GPS will tell you where you are exactly, and gives you a map. That’s a lifesaver. The Bluetooth - well no one can understand me. The MP3 player? Why? I have Satellite radio, an I pod and a STEREO. Why would I use that little thing for music? Then there is the traffic.. HA! Now Garmin is selling lifetime subscriptions, and I think it’s now included with some models. Yea.. you can’t give it away - that data is sooo stale! I approach 10mph traffic, 30 min later is says "Traffic Ahead"! Oh shut up! Then I take its traffic avoidance detour for an hour, just to find out the traffic has been at normal speed for 45 minutes! I will NEVER believe the traffic info. And can you believe that when my wife bought my 1st C550 she paid over[$]!!Don’t get me wrong, I travel all over the country, and I won’t leave home without it. (If flying, it's great entertainment too - 550 MPH - yep! And you know what is below you) This model is a very good bargain as it is no longer a current model. Might as well just buy a new unit when its time to buy a map update - it's not much more expensive.

I use this unit daily, as a courier, and have found it to be very accurate. The only problem that I have had with finding address are if they are on a state highway and there is also a street name. If you only have the highway # address it usually will not locate it. The features included are all that I need and the blue tooth is great for making hands free calls.

I used it once to find a address and when I was ready to leave I had to use it to get out of the location where I was at. Worked great took me right to the front door of the house where I was going.
