I own a trucking business that delivers refrigerated foods to businesses in and around the surrounding area. I have installed these in all of the trucks. Being the owner of the company you have to make sure your deliveries are delivered on time so getting lost is out of the question. It works great and has proved to be very accurate.
You’ve To Keep It Charging …

I was overjoyed for getting a GPS at such a nice price, but now I wish I had spent for a Garmin rather than the Navigon. It isn't as handy as a Garmin. It didn’t held a charge for long enough, which is the major problem. I have to continually have it plugged into the adapter – to make sure it’s charged. If you don’t do this, it won't switch on immediately even if you connect it into the car charger. The navigation screen won't come into view until it's fully charged all over again.

I plugged it in and it was ready to go as soon as it was out of box. I live in the area where some online map sites have trouble navigating. It worked for a couple of miles, until I needed to turn into the library. Then once I got just past the main edge of the city, it didn't have any indication that there were side streets in some cases, even for streets that have been there for years. Maybe others will have better luck if they travel within more populated areas where more time was spent getting the maps right. Not only does it have a very limited listing of POIs but its ability to get you that info via the search function is horrible. However, the screen is nice (needs more colors) but the fact that I can't search for anything really hurts. The box only contains the unit, mount and DC charger. Everythng else, like AC, case, USB cable (for charging on your notebook while on the road) a protective case, and the improved Lifetime Traffic Data Service all cost extra. After you total all of these items, you could get a higher end unit for less money.

Honestly, if you are looking for an affordable device to keep you from getting lost, then this is it. I've had it about a month and I'm not getting lost anymore, but I have had issues with both the battery and using the menus. In all fairness to the device, this could be more with the user than the the device. However, the fact that I am not getting lost any more has me willing to work through the issues.
