I like the extra paper capacity, printer options, and easy 2-sided copying. I was hoping for better scanning capability because I upgraded from a prior model. However, scanning quality is just as poor as my previous model.

I'm from Latin America, I have always purchased printers epson because they seem of excellent quality, I saw this printer the Epson WP-4540 and go for it to send to Bogota Colombia for one of my companies, but only to month and a half of use the color yellow began to fail, and after many head cleaning and other operations end up losing the other colors, a total waste of money, then I find that it is a manufacturing fault and that of course does not cover here in Colombia. Too bad for epson not warn of such failure. totally Disappointed

I have two of these "All in Ones". Overall, I am pleased with these machines. I am quite pleased with the print quality. Sometimes the printer isn't quite as speedy as I would like, pausing between pages.
Another Yellow ink blowout

I bought 2 WP-4540s for my business about 18 months ago. On the whole they have worked well, but they seem to go through ink very fast. About a week ago I noticed the color balance on any color printouts was way off. The yellow cartridge was low. I bought another genuine Epson yellow cartridge and replaced it. When I did a test print, the page was covered in yellow ink. I cleaned the heads and tried another. It was also covered in blobs of yellow ink. I can no longer print anything without the printer jamming. When I looked inside to clear the jam, the entire inside of the printer is covered with yellow ink. I will be contacting Epson to see what their response is and whether it is worth it to ever buy another Epson product.

Epson WP-4540 replaced my older printer. It works great, but I spent weeks learning I lacked the application software to scan documents. This application software was easy to find on Epson's website, but the application was around 90 Mb. Now that my WP-4540 works, I expect to keep it for years.
