Product Reviews for Epson WorkForce Pro WP-4530 Inkjet Multifunction Printer - Color - Photo Print - Desktop
from Idaho on 12/9/2014
We have had the WorkForce Pro for about 4 months now and have no complaints about it. It has a paper tray that holds almost half a ream of paper. It also has a viewing slot so you always know how much paper is left, without having to pull the tray out first. The printing quality is excellent, the ADF feeds numerous pages effortlessly and the scanner puts out very clean scans. Printing envelopes is very easy. There again you don't have to pull out a paper tray in order to print envelopes, there is a dedicated slot for that function. The WiFi was a little trickier for me to set up. It required a little more work. Also the printer software only allowed for one network to be set up without any alternate. I'm no pro so I may have missed something. That said, the printer WiFi works very well for us so we don't have to be tied down to our desks if we are working with a laptop. It is also great if the printer needs to be located across the room from your workstation. We have not tried to utilize it from another room yet, but it probably would work as far as our network reaches. We have not utilized the fax function as we do not use facsimile, only scans.

Windows 8.1 x64 drivers on-line do not allow wireless set-up. You must connect to printer USB port. Otherwise set-up won't find the printer. Ink is expensive. Price ink before buying. Functions well, prints, scans and faxes. The included scanning software works well. Windows 7x64 set up was okay with included CD. I only use it for docs, not pictures.

I bought this printer exactly 3 year ago November 2011 with light use in business mostly for copying and faxing. In fact I believe I may be only on my 3rd black cartridge after the starter. I've been very happy until now. I've read other reviews with the yellow leaking with no fix available. I just emailed support to see if there is a resolution to this issue. I'm hoping this can be resolved. I just bought a WP-2650 for home that I just unpacked and am concerned it's the same technology. I will base my decision to keep the 2650 based on what support will do.
Worked, in the beginning.

The printer worded great in the beginning, after about 2 years, the part that controls the cyan ink went haywire. After I put the new cartridges in the printer, the cyan was all over the wheels that push the paper through the printer & I'm getting a 1inch wide, soaking through the paper, blue streak. This is the second time this happened, another waste of $$$ down the tubes. For the money I've wasted on in, I'm not going to try again, I'm going to buy another printer(not Epson). I've had printers in my house for over 15 years & I've never had this problem.

After calling for help with installing software printer was everything it was advertise to do. Also this was a remanufactured printer that by all accounts looked and functioned as NEW. I would buy again if needed. This replaced a still working Work Force 600 as I needed auto 2 sided printing and larger paper handling.
