Great for printing photos! Only problem is output periodically gets caught on small lip of platform and paper has small crease. Other than that it is a great printer!!
All I need and easy to use

Since receiving the C8180 from PCRush 21 days ago, I have printed several 4x6 photos using the special tray and a couple 8x10 photos. I made the mistake of printing on the wrong side of the photo paper for one, and a week later the ink is still wet on it. There is no corresponding problem with regular non-photo paper. The images on photo paper have turned out very clear and well balanced, and you have to look closely to see the ink jet lines. Black and white documents have turned out fine. We had shopped around to compare in person the print qualities, and this model had had the best for the price range with scanner. Setup was very easy, though there were instructions that came with the item I did not expect: do not plug in the USB until after setting up the printer. The printer screen is fairly easy to navigate, and I was able to find out how to pair my bluetooth phone to the printer and then print out an image. Even though the footprint seems a bit big and it is somewhat heavy, the design is very compact. The paper loading try is below the output tray, so the only sides of the device that need to be accessed regularly are the top and front face. I'm confused about included warnings about turning the device off. After each use, the printer also spends time making noises adjusting itself, but this has not interfered with any jobs I have given it. Scanning has been easy, and the included software is simple to use. The scanner only does one pass - so previews are the final scan, which saves scanning time. The scanned images have been clear, though I have yet to scan a color image.

I've had this printer for one year and I want to tell you that I am officially frustrated with this thing! The printer does do what it claims to do, however, here are my three complaints: 1) Print Time: it takes so long for a page to print in either B&W or color. And, in between pages, it goes through a re-cycling process that drives me nuts! This isn't just an occasional occurrence; it happens all the time! This disrupts the continuity of my print projects. 2)Ink Cartridges: this issue really infuriates me! This printer absorbs the ink so quickly that I can't keep up with stocking my shelf! I print very few photos and I print regular text pages (approx 3 pages/day), yet I'm always running out of ink! 3) Price of Ink: I cannot believe what HP charges for an ink cartridge!! I now know why the printer was so affordable; it's because I pay for it several times over in the price of the cartridges!! I complained to an office supply store employee about this several weeks ago. He agreed with my frustration and was willing to show me printers that consume less ink and for a lower cost. As soon as my current ink cartridge supply is consumed (which should be very soon), I am going to make a more intelligent printer selection, and it won't be an HP.
Very satisfied with the quality!

If you love photos like I do then you are going to love this Multifunction Photo Printer. We can now share photos with all of our family all over the globe without having to spend all the money on postage that we use to when we wanted to mail our family reunion pictures out. Its amazing the quality that you get with this printer, it’s almost as if it were the original picture itself that you are looking at. This is also a very quiet machine, not like some of the ones that you see or hear for that matter now a days. Very easy to set up and unlike most technical things, quite easy instructions to follow. I highly recommend!
