Bottom Line:

I was looking for one that didn’t cost too much and also didn’t cost too much to run. Now a days with the economy the way it is you have to save money anyway you can. When I saw this I was very interested so bough it to test it out. Never did I think I would be as satisfied as I am with it but I am. It is very compact, works exceptionally well, and am quite pleased with the programming functions that it has. I would recommend it to anyone.

I wanted to use this product to cool an anechoic test chamber. I took the covers off and included 6" ducting adjustments to send air in and out of the test room in a closed disk. Ran the hot air drain outside clear of the unit hence, I got a twin hose system. An industrial unit with reduced power was [$]. It works like a winner, due to the brilliant special testing system and power of the unit.
Simple, but with Problems

Generally a good product It comes with an abysmally small tray that BARELY fits under the unit. If it's over 90 degrees outside, it will not cool off a medium room fast enough. Window kit required modification. It is poorly designed and pretty much useless in a humid climate. This portable air conditioner leaked gallons of water onto my bedroom carpet. We have had to rip out the carpeting, because it was soaked. It is small and easy to move. But the dehumidifier is fairly noisy and it runs when the unit is in dehumidifier mode or in air conditioner mode. Save yourself the cash and floor space.

I needed something that would not run up my power bill too high, and cool at least a small room so that I could have a nice place for the summer to enjoy working on projects or reading. This has done exactly what I need. I would say that it is not as even of cooling as I had hoped, but the dehumidifier aspect has been a real plus.

7000 BTU is not the strongest a/c out there, but this indoor piece is making the hot weather a breeze.
My apartment has barred windows because it's on the 19th floor, and putting an a/c unit on the top half just wouldn't be possible. So I had no choice but to find an indoor one that connects with a hose to the window, and this was the one I got. It's quiet, does not have a bucket that fills up with water, and I love the remote.
