The VS-2004 Pro VioStor NVR is the 2-bay network surveillance system for security applications in small and medium sized companies (SMB) and SOHO. The Linux-based system supports PC-less quick configuration, monitoring of IP cameras over the network, and video playback by connecting a monitor to the built-in VGA connector, a USB keyboard, and a USB mouse. Comments about QNAP Systems VioStor VS-2004 Pro Network Digital Video Recorder:

I use to record security cameras at 2 retail locations. Have had for 2 weeks and is working reliably. All the software is ActiveX through Internet Explorer so other browsers do not work. That's annoying but not a show stopper. This is the first NVR I have owned so I haven nothing to compare to. I found it easy to setup and it's easy to operate. I'm very pleased with it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
