The Cavalry USB 3.0 host card supports the latest generation of USB 3.0 devices with speeds of up to 4.8 Gbit/s or 10 times than that of USB 2.0. The card uses the second generation PCI Express (PCI-E 2.0) which allows faster transfer speeds than the traditional PCI Express card and does not require an extra power source. The host card is downwards compatible with earlier versions of USB (USB 1.0, 1.1, 2.0) devices, accessories and peripherals.
