The KBC Decoder (DEC-A) is a high-resolution, IP Ethernet ready (LAN/WAN), digital video decoder. The unit enables D1 digital video to be decoded from an encoder (ENC-A) for display on an analog monitor/DVR. Specifically designed to meet the increasing need for high quality, reliable, real-time video applications, the decoder is ideal for retrofit and for new video surveillance applications. For ultimate flexibility in camera locations, where it is not feasible to run cable, the decoders can be connected via a Wireless Ethernet System (or network of Mesh nodes). For end-to-end analog connectivity, the Decoder (DEC-A) should be used with an Encoder (ENC-A).
