I have had problems, that HP support was able to solve with a power cycle that reloves around unplugging the unit, if you use the on/off switch to power cycle it will not fix the issue, leave the switch on and unplug it, it is crazy, but fixes the problem1

I create my own recipe cards and send them to family members with the family recopies’ we have passed down over the years. This scanner was a great help while trying to create the perfect format for the page. Although it was slow at first when I first set it up it hasn’t failed me since. The set up and support guide was written in English and was very easy to set up, I didn’t even have to call technical support! Many compliments have poured in regarding the recipe format and I owe it all to this scanner.

I'm having nothing but improved productivity and excellent quality with this scanner. I don't know why people are complaining. For us it has been a superb choice. We scan quite a bit and this has taken all we can give it.
