The DSerial-PCI's strength lies in its Moko S-1 ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit). This chip-only available on Lava products-consolidates a number of separate components into one chip. This adds efficiency in manufacture, and more importantly, virtually eliminates any possibility of component failure.
Few serial peripherals or PCs would not benefit from the DSerial-PCI's speed and economical usage of PCI real estate, IRQs, and COM port resources. Connecting Lava's DSerial-PCI to external modems, serial printers, handhelds and PDAs, mice and trackballs, keypads, serial POS devices, digital cameras and other devices has never been easier!
