General Specifications

Stand Alone FTG Mode

The LMT7Z9 in Free-To-Guest (FTG) mode provides LG/Zenith Pro:Idiom TV with a way to map logical channel numbers to physical or virtual channels. When a new LMT7Z9 is configured with a channel map by the FTG Configuration Application from a PC, it switches to FTG mode. When the TV is powered ON, a “banner” will appear briefly on the TV screen displaying the version of firmware on the LMT7Z9. Once in FTG mode, the Installer Menu settings of the TV, it is installed in, are copied into the LMT7Z9. If multiple TVs of the same model are to be configured with LMT7Z9 cards for the purpose of Free-To-Guest, set up a “master” TV with the desired Installer Menu settings before installing the new LMT7Z9. Each new LMT7Z9 card installed into the master TV and set to FTG mode will obtain the Installer Menu settings from the master. The configured LMT7Z9 card can be removed from the master and installed in a TV of the same model which will then be configured by that LMT7Z9 to be ready for operation.

FTG MODE: Installed in same Model

The Installer Menu settings in the LMT7Z9 are from the TV it was installed in last. When installed in a TV of the same model, these settings will be copied to the TV from the LMT7Z9 when power is applied to the TV.

FTG MODE: Installed in Different Model

The Installer Menu settings in the LMT7Z9 are from the TV it was installed in last. When installed in a TV of a different model, the settings of the TV will be copied to the LMT7Z9, overwriting settings on card, from the TV when power is applied to the TV.
