Although slightly slow on web pages like facebook when I start doing too much at once, the mini notebook is awesome! It was a fair price and I do almost everything I did not on my laptop with ease. I would definitely recommend a memory upgrade though. I plan to get one soon...

Comments about Toshiba Mini NB505-N508OR Netbook:
I got this for my 10 yr old daughter since she is required to type homework. The netbk is ok, however I've had a few issues with it, such as the screen jumping when I scroll down sometimes. Overall, i guess if I didn't have this issue it would be a better product.

Comments about Toshiba Mini NB505-N508OR Netbook:
Great little notebook and is working great for my business trip in Italy. One BIG ding is I don't understand if the unit can use 2 gig of ram from a manufacturing stand just ship it with the max instead of 1 gig. How big of a price difference could it be when manufacture buys in bulk? Now I have to pay for 2 gig, which is not much, but now I have paid for 1 gig stick that came with computer I have no use for. I would not have mind to pay extra upfront but do not like paying for something I don't use. Just non-sense...

Screen size

Comments about Toshiba Mini NB505-N508OR Netbook:
I thought the small screen size shouldn't bother as long as you are able to scroll down and up to be able to see a whole page or work, but there are some pages that won't open completely and won't let you scroll down. So I have to put the zoom in 70% which really compromises visibility and I think is annoying. It happens with my bank web page. And the menu for example in Photoshop wont display completely vertically.

Comments about Toshiba Mini NB505-N508OR Netbook:
I am very happy with the netbook, have carried it onto and off a number of airplanes. It is lightweight but does everything I ask it to. The Windows 7 starter seems to have all I need, although I did take the advice of other reviewers and put in the extra memory. It runs well, web access is very good. The screen is adequate, the keyboard is good size, I have no trouble using it. I did install a wireless mouse as I don't like touchpads in general. The only negative is the speakers, I like to listen to audio books and the sound is very tinny and hard to understand. Plugging in a set of earphones is my workaround.
