A purchased one of these TV's new from Sony back in Nov-and haven't regretted it for one moment. The picture quality is superb, and while I've not gotten to take advantage of all the bells and whistles yet; I'm sure that the added features will please 95% of people looking for a smart TV. And since most of the TV's available today have tinny built in speakers, expect to purchase a stand alone home theater system to add punch to the sound. My only regret is trying to get the TV to sync to my Sony BDV-E570-which Sony has been excellent is helping me figure it all out. Overall it's been a great TV/home theater set-up

The picture is awsome I upgraded from a kdl-46w4150 120hz which also had a great picture. but the 480hz (240hz lcd panel+ 240hz led backlighting) on this tv make for a way smoother picture and great color reproduction (great on sports and video games) however I have not used the 3D yet. The overall looks are great in any surrounding. I love the wifi, netflix and pandora work awsome, takes alot of stress off of the xbox. The menu system is also very good and easy to use, the sound kinda sucks but most thin flat panels do, and if your gona buy this tv I'm sure you have a surround system to hook it to anyways, I do (sony 7.1 receiver). I wish the remote had a sleep timer button so you don't have to go into the menu to turn it on, and not sure why it has a power button on the back. This tv stays very cool and is very light. Overall awsome performance at a real great price, I don't think anyone would be dissapointed in buying this TV.

1. Picture quality is great.. 2. Internet connectivity is smooth 3. 3d experience is not great by worthwhile 4. Some of the interfaces like YouTube, Dailymotion etc.. aren’t very intuitive.. Typing is experience is very clumsy.. Sony must really do something to make it more user friendly by providing a better remote.. (take a lesson from LG) 5. Sound is not great.. Sometimes, while watching some of the movies where dialogs aren't very loud I had to keep my sound to MAX to hear them loud enough.. Sony must do something for this.. 6. I bought it during last thanksgiving and I feel I got a great product for the price I paid.. Overall a pleasant experience.

Bought this TV on cyber monday for an unbelievable price. Arrived before the suggested date and was simple to install. Took some time to get the picture right as it has so many variables...but what a picture. Got Netflix running right away through wi-fi. Love it!! Still discovering this gem.

replaced my old box-like 480p GE 40inch with this guy, what an incredible difference! already had a bravia dvd surround system, sony tv was a no-brainer. most amazing picture i have ever experienced. love the super slim design. perfect set-up for the ps3. really doing big things w/ this one! sony produces excellent products, except for maybe car audio.

I bought it for my family room, and it was every thing I hoped it was, great, great picture, great design, my wife is down stairs often watching tv with me now, and we get all the skype calls right through the tv. We love it. I wished I got the 55" tv, but I could not do it, even though it was not shipped for a couple of days after I called to change the size, the customer service was not helpful.
but at the end I love this TV.

I ordered directly from Sony and the first one I ordered arrived with a shattered screen. As a result I almost second guessed my decision. I stuck with it and got my replacement. Boy was I glad. This TV has an amazing picture. It is suited well for all type of entertainment. The intiial set up is easy. The stand is sturdy but the TV does wobble a little when turned which is a little nerve racking when handeling 2K worth of TV. To really get the great picture you will need to set aside 2-3hrs to configure and adjust the 50+ settings for each imput. Once completed I couldnt be happier. 240 & 480hz control motion & jitter well. Blacks are 95% gray. Sports are awesome both in HD & 3D. My biggest complaint is the sound. Sound is flat. Has decient options and equalizing settings that help but it is evident that the speakers cannot keep up. Disappointing for a TV in this class. If you want to add external audio make sure your equipment can accept optical audio in. Of course with any Sony product you will pay a premium but still at a sale price of 1750 this TV is worth every penny when comparing it to similar models both from Sony and other manufactures. Despite the cons I listed I still give 5 stars because of the picture quality.

This tv is all I hoped it would be. Easy to use, fantastic picture quality, extremely easy to use netflix. I have a 5 year old 52inch bravia and a 5 year old 40 inch bravia with good pictures still, but this picture is quite a bit above them.
