The 1st thing I noticed about this TV is that the technology is so refined, there's no pixel-ation on moving images so they're as smooth as they are a tube or plasma based set. The automatic 480p versus 720p signal sensing works like a charm so the TV seamlessly switches between 4:3 and 16:9 ratios automatically depending whether it sees a standard or high definition signal as you change channels, when a standard definition commercial airs on an HD channel, and when a wide screen format transmission comes over a standard definition channel so you never have to look at a picture stretched horizontally.

My mother had purchased a Sony Bravia 32 in, about the same price but older model and it had a great picture without having to sign up for HDTV service with her cable company. So I purchased this model for myself. The picture colors were great, remote and set up easy to use. The picture quality, not as good as my mothers and my old Sony WEGA 27 inch TV. I went through all the instructions and ehanced everything I could but nothing fixed the picture quality, it has a slight blur to it. E.G. faces are clear but surrounding items blury. Made it difficult to watch, irritated the eyes. I was watching golf and the grass was blury. I exchange the TV for a Sony Bravia 40inch with 1080p HD. This TV only has HD in 780P. Have not received it yet. Hopefully better picture quality.

I love this tv and I've always trusted all Sony products from their tv's to computers to ps3 Sony always satisfy's me and this tv did not let me down. Although about the top three inches of the screen have began to flicker around and I don't know what that is about but Sony is being very good in helping me fix this problem. Other than that this tv is great especially if you have other Sony products like a ps3 because of the Bravia sync feature which let's you control the device with the tv remote. It has great picture quality and is perfect for gaming and watching movies.

I'm a stickler for detail so after I let my TV warm up for about 20mins I got to calibrating it with AVSH LCD calibration.

I bought this to replace the CRT style TV in the bedroom. It has a great picture, even from a side angle. The audio is exceptional for built-in speakers.

I was looking for a bedroom t.v. and this was absolutely perfect. I am in awe of the beautiful picture and the sound is not bad, of course I don't turn it up real loud. It was a great investment.

Es mi primer LCD y tenÃa que ser Sony, y sin temor a equivocarme y con los aÃ+/-os que llevo trabajando en Retail, Sony es lo mejor que hay en el mercado. Lastima que este modelo no soporte discos duros externos y que mucho menos reproduzca mkv directamente en usb. Nada que no se pueda remedir con un laptop con hdmi hacia el LCD. Opciones en control remoto escaso, pero esta tv sigue teniendo una de las mejores imagenes comparandola con otras marcas incluso mas costosas.

this is my first HD TV and i am not let down i know people who spent 2000+ on a TV and TV picture quality is the same how ever watching TV right now is not same quality as PS3 or DVD (through the DAV-DZ170 system which pairs with TV perfectly) since i haven't got the money to upgrade to HD direct TV so TV shows are lacking the vibrant picture quality this TV is capable of
