BUSlink CipherShield encrypted hard drive with USB 3.0 SuperSpeed protects terabytes of highly important digital assets. BUSlink SuperSpeed USB 3.0 is a major step forward to the faster and more efficient data transfer interface. With transfer rate up to 4.8 Gbits/s, USB 3.0 is 10 times faster than the ubiquitous USB 2.0 that has transfer rate of 480Mbits/s. BUSlink CipherShield Hard Drives utilize a chip encrypted key that matches a chip on the motherboard. Removal of the key prevents unauthorized access to the hard drive. Unlike password, biometric fingerprint, or other security approaches; removal of the case and connecting the bare drive itself directly to the PC bus continues to prevent access to the drive contents.
