My Cannon flatbed scanner never had Vista drivers released so I started shopping around for an all-in-one unit. The AIO I had in mind was the Epson Artisan 800. I had been using Epson printers for over 12 years now. I checked out the 800 in person and thought it looked great(in black) and had the functions I needed. But then I played around with printer a bit(@ my local BB) and it seemed like I was handling a cheap toy. I also read the reviews concerning paper jams and such, so I decided I wouldn\'t go that route. Enter the HP c309a. It had all the specs I wanted so decided to investigate. Easy wireless set up; check, great build quality; check, fantastic prints and double sided printing; check, and the one feature that made me purchase it right there and then: I could stack a bunch of documents on its auto feeder tray and have them scanned all, one by one. I didn\'t have to stand around scanning one doc at a time which was simply awesome(it does have a flat bed though if you want to scan this way).I\'ve put some major millage on the scanner as I\'ve probably scanned about 4500 magazine pages over 2 weeks. This amount of scanning is probably equivalent to a few months or even years in terms of use. I had to clean the rollers and a platic piece to get the scanning quality in top shape again, but it was no biggie. You can\'t scan directly to you computer unless you have it connected via USB. But you can access the various memory card inputs on the printer from your pc. So basically, you can drag and drop (wirelessly) w\/o having to remove the card. Thumbs up for this awesome product!
